Location: Nantucket, Massachusetts

Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Schedule: 36 hours per week, rotating shifts
• Experience Required: Epic system and postpartum experience
• Licenses/Certifications Required:

  • Massachusetts RN license (no conditional licenses accepted)
  • BLS (AHA preferred)
  • NRP (AHA preferred)
• Housing: Shared housing provided at no cost

Required Credentials and Compliance

Licenses and Certifications

• Valid MA RN license with primary source verification (NURSYS and Board of Nursing)
• BLS certification (AHA, Red Cross accepted; AHA preferred)
• NRP certification (AHA, Red Cross accepted; AHA preferred)

Training and Checklists

• MGB FEMA ICS 100 Training (must be completed before onboarding)
• MGB Skills Checklist (required for submission)
• Candidate Submission Coversheet (required for submission)

Health and Immunization Requirements

• Fit Test for N95 respirator within 365 days of start date (no religious exemptions)
• MGB Color Vision test within 365 days of start
• MMR vaccination or proof of immunity
• Influenza vaccine required during flu season (Sept 15 - April 30) with no exemptions
• TB test documentation within 3 months of start date (skin test or blood test)
• Health Statement signed by MD/DO/NP/PA within 365 days of start date
• Optional but strongly preferred: Hepatitis B vaccination or immunity proof
• Optional: Tdap vaccine within 10 years (preferred)
• If positive TB test, documentation of negative chest X-ray required

Background and Compliance Checks

• Criminal background check within 45 days prior to start, including international searches if applicable
• Massachusetts CORI background check within 30 days prior to start
• National Sex Offender Registry check within 30 days prior to start and updated annually
• Exclusion checks (OIG, GSA, MassHealth, NH Medicaid) within 30 days prior to start and annually
• Social Security Number trace for past 7 years addresses/employment/school
• Education verification of highest degree achieved
• Two recent professional references (minimum one supervisor or above)

Additional Requirements

• MGB Nantucket Housing Agreement (required if staying in provided housing)
• Confirmation of Assignment/POI Form upon acceptance and for any assignment changes
• Respirator Medical Clearance Attestation (part of fit test documentation)

This position is ideal for RNs with labor and delivery experience who are licensed in Massachusetts and meet the above credentialing and health requirements. The role offers a structured schedule with rotating shifts and includes housing support on Nantucket Island.
