Job Opportunity: RN LTC (Long-Term Care)
Location: Oak Bluffs, Massachusetts
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Position: Registered Nurse in Long-Term Care
- Facility: Skilled nursing environment
- Schedule: 40 hours per week, days/evenings
- (2) 12-hour shifts and (2) 8-hour shifts per week
- Start Date: ASAP
- Shared housing available (no guests or pets allowed)
- Must have own transportation
- COVID-19 and influenza vaccinations are mandatory
Required Certifications and Licenses
- BLS Certification (AHA preferred; Red Cross accepted)
- Professional Nursing License (Primary source verification required; MA Conditional Licenses not accepted)
- Fit Test for N95 Respirator (within 365 days, updated annually)
- MGB Nurse Aide Registry Check (required for all employees)
- MGB CNA Registry Checks (for all states candidate lived/worked)
- COVID Vaccination/Declination Form (mandatory)
- MMR Vaccination or Immunity Proof
- Influenza Vaccine (required during flu season, no exemptions)
- TB Test (skin test or blood test within 3 months, updated if >6 month break)
- Health Statement (physician-signed within 365 days, updated if >6 month break)
- Criminal Background Check (within 45 days prior to start, updated if >6 month break)
- Massachusetts CORI Background Check (within 30 days prior to start, updated if >6 month break)
- Resume (past 7 years of work experience with city & state)
- References (2 recent, minimum 1 supervisor or above)
- Skills Checklist (required for submission)
- Respirator Medical Clearance Attestation (if fit test required)
- Confirmation of Assignment/POI Form (for initial assignments and extensions)
- Education Verification (highest level verified through background check)
- SSN Trace (addresses/aliases for past 7 years)
- National Sex Offender Check (within 30 days of start, updated annually)
- Exclusion Checks (OIG, GSA, MassHealth & NH Medicaid lists, within 30 days and annually)
- Candidate Submission Coversheet (required for submission)
Optional but Strongly Preferred
- Hepatitis B Vaccination or Immunity Proof
- Tdap Vaccination (within 10 years)
- Positive PPD with Negative Chest X-Ray (if applicable)
- TB Symptom Survey (if positive PPD)
Additional Notes
- No religious exemptions for fit testing or influenza vaccine
- Fit testing cannot be done onsite initially; updates may be done on-site if assignment is extended
- Shared housing requires signing a housing agreement
- All documentation must be current and compliant with Massachusetts Department of Public Health regulations
This position is ideal for RNs experienced in long-term care settings who meet the vaccination and credentialing requirements and are available for a 13-week assignment with a flexible day/evening schedule.
