Job Opportunity: RN Infusion (Oncology/Infusion Center)

Location: Boston, Massachusetts
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 12 weeks (approximately 3 months)


Job Description

  • Full-time position with 10-hour shifts
  • Assignment duration: 10-12 weeks
  • Work setting: Oncology/Infusion Center
  • Required experience: Minimum 2 years in ambulatory oncology infusion unit

Required Certifications and Credentials

  • BLS Certification: American Heart Association (AHA) preferred; Red Cross accepted in some cases
  • Professional Nursing License: Primary source verification required; MA Conditional Licenses not accepted
  • N95 Fit Test: Must be completed within 365 days prior to start and updated annually (no onsite fit testing)
  • MGB Medication Exam: 80% passing score within 365 days required
  • MMR Vaccination or Immunity: Documentation of measles, mumps, and rubella vaccines or proof of immunity
  • Influenza Vaccine: Required during flu season (Sept 15 - April 30); no exemptions allowed
  • TB Test: Documentation of TB skin test or blood test within 3 months of start date, updated if >6 month break
  • Health Statement: Physician statement signed within 365 days of start date, updated if >6 month break
  • Criminal Background Checks: Including Massachusetts CORI, SSN Trace, National Sex Offender Check, and Exclusion Checks
  • Resume: Must include past 7 years of work experience with city and state
  • References: Two recent references, at least one supervisor or above, in relevant skillset
  • Skills Checklist: Required for submission
  • Assignment Confirmation Form: Required upon acceptance and for extensions
  • Education Verification: Highest level of education must be verified

Additional Preferred/Optional Credentials

  • Hepatitis B: Strongly preferred to have 3 vaccines or proof of immunity or declination
  • Tdap Vaccine: Preferred within last 10 years
  • Positive TB Test Follow-up: If positive TB test, documentation of a negative chest x-ray required
  • Respirator Medical Clearance Attestation: Required if fit test is required
