Job Opportunity: Emergency Room Registered Nurse (Travel)

Location: Boston, Massachusetts
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 12 weeks


Job Description

  • Work schedule includes every other week (EOW) and every other hour (EOH) shifts.
  • Rotation involves 4 weeks of nights followed by 4 weeks of days, or vice versa.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Massachusetts.
  • Minimum of 1 year of Emergency Department (ED) experience, with recent ED experience within the last year.
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).

Required Credentials and Compliance

  • Professional photo (color, recent within 6 months, plain background, no glasses).
  • Primary source verification of RN license (no conditional licenses accepted).
  • N95 respirator fit test within 1 year of start date, updated annually.
  • Documentation of MMR vaccination or immunity.
  • Influenza vaccine required during flu season (no exemptions).
  • TB screening within 3 months of start date (skin test or blood test), updated if break >6 months.
  • Health statement signed by MD/DO/NP/PA within 1 year.
  • Criminal background checks including state and national registries, updated as required.
  • Documentation of work experience and education for the past 7 years.
  • Two professional references within 4 years, including at least one supervisor.
  • Skills checklist completed within 1 year.
  • Confirmation of assignment form upon acceptance.
  • Additional immunizations recommended: Hepatitis B (strongly preferred), Tdap (preferred).
  • Respirator Medical Clearance attestation if fit test required.
  • Education verification to confirm highest level achieved.

Additional Notes

  • No religious or medical exemptions allowed for N95 fit testing or influenza vaccine.
  • All background and exclusion checks must be cleared prior to start.
  • Documentation must be current and updated as specified to maintain compliance.

This position is ideal for experienced ER RNs seeking a travel assignment with a structured rotation schedule in a major metropolitan area.
