Description

Job Opportunity: Emergency Room Registered Nurse (Night Shift)

Location: Boston, Massachusetts
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Schedule

  • 36 or 48 hours per week
  • Night shifts
  • Every other weekend and holidays

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 4 years of RN experience, including 4 years in the Emergency Department (ED)
  • At least 1 year of Emergency Department (ED) experience within the last year
  • Minimum 1 year of travel nursing experience
  • Minimum 1 year of Level 1 emergency room experience
  • Valid RN license for Massachusetts (Primary source verification required; MA Conditional Licenses not accepted)
  • BLS certification (AHA, Red Cross, CHSF, or Military accepted)
  • Documentation of immunizations and health screenings including:
    • Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR) vaccination or immunity proof
    • TB test within 3 months of start date (skin test or blood test) and updated if break >6 months
    • Hepatitis B vaccination or immunity preferred
    • Fit test for N95 respirator within 1 year of start date, updated annually
    • Respirator Medical Clearance attestation if fit test required
    • Health statement signed by MD/DO/NP/PA within 1 year of start date
  • Criminal background checks and verifications including:
    • State and national criminal background checks
    • Massachusetts CORI check
    • Social Security Number trace
    • National sex offender registry check
    • Exclusion checks (OIG, GSA, Medicaid lists)
  • Skills checklist completed within 1 year of submission
  • Medication exam with 80% passing score within 1 year (RN & LPN)
  • Submission of resume with 7 years of work experience including city and state
  • Two professional references within 4 years (minimum one supervisor-level)

  • Start date fixed on May 11, 2026
  • No onsite fit testing; must be completed prior to start
  • No religious or medical exemptions allowed for fit testing
  • Documentation must be current and updated if there is a break in employment longer than 6 months
