Job Opportunity: RN Case Manager
Location: Boston, Massachusetts
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks (with consideration for 20 weeks or 4x10 schedule for the right candidate)
Job Description
Seeking a Registered Nurse with experience in acute case management. Prior traveler experience is a plus but not required.
Schedule
- Standard: 5 days per week, 8 hours per day (5x8)
- Alternative schedules considered: 13-week contract or 4 days per week, 10 hours per day (4x10)
Licensure Requirements
- Must hold an active RN license.
- Conditional license accepted only if the permanent licensure process has already been initiated. Assignment duration will align with the conditional license period, with extension reviewed upon permanent license issuance.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Massachusetts
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Acute Care Case Management
- Acute Care Case Management experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Health and Compliance Requirements
- Documentation of immunity or vaccination for MMR (measles, mumps, rubella).
- TB screening within 3 months of start date (skin test or blood test) and updated if there is a break longer than 6 months.
- Physician health statement within 1 year of start date, updated if break exceeds 6 months.
- N95 Fit Test within 1 year of start date, updated annually (no exemptions allowed).
- Respirator Medical Clearance attestation if fit test required.
- Hepatitis B vaccination or immunity preferred but optional.
- Tdap vaccination preferred but optional.
- If positive TB test, documentation of a negative chest x-ray required.
Background and Credentialing Requirements
- Criminal background check within 45 days prior to start, updated if break exceeds 6 months.
- Massachusetts CORI background check within 30 days prior to start, updated if break exceeds 6 months.
- National sex offender registry check within 30 days prior to start, updated annually.
- Exclusion checks (OIG, GSA, Medicaid) within 30 days prior to start and annually.
- Social Security Number trace as part of background check.
- Education verification through background check company.
- Submission of a professional resume covering the past 7 years, including city and state for all work and education.
- Two professional references within 4 years, including at least one supervisor or higher.
- Completion of a skills checklist within 1 year of submission.
- Submission of a recent professional photo (color, plain background, no filters or glasses).
- Candidate submission coversheet required for initial assignment.
- Confirmation of assignment form required upon acceptance and for extensions.
Additional Notes
- Start dates available: May 4 or May 18.
- No onsite fit testing; must be completed prior to assignment start.
- Extensions and schedule flexibility may be considered for the right candidate.
This position is ideal for an RN with acute case management experience seeking a mid-length travel assignment in Massachusetts with a reputable healthcare system.
