Registered Nurse - Appeals

Location: Somerville, Massachusetts
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 100% remote
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

Seeking a Registered Nurse with experience in payor settings, specifically with Commercial and Medicaid health plans. The role involves working closely with medical directors on case reviews and decisions related to health plan appeals. Candidates with at least 2 years of health plan appeals experience are preferred. There is potential for this position to become permanent for the right candidate.

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Massachusetts (MA Conditional Licenses not accepted)
Primary source verification of professional nursing license required within 30 days of start date and must be kept current
Both NURSYS and Board of Nursing (BON) verification required for nursing licenses
Minimum 2 years of experience in health plan appeals or case management insurance
At least 1 year of Utilization Review experience within the last year
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
