Description

Registered Nurse - Postpartum

Location: Newton, Massachusetts
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Details

  • 36-hour rotating shifts based on department needs (not guaranteed)
  • Schedule: 3 shifts of 12 hours each
  • Shift times: 7:15 PM – 7:15 AM or 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
  • Work every other weekend and rotating holidays
  • Postpartum nursing experience is required

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Massachusetts
  • Minimum of 1 year of postpartum nursing experience, with recent experience within the last year
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Additional Information

  • Prior travel experience is not specified as required
  • Rotation schedule is subject to change based on department needs
  • All license and certification verifications must be completed and updated as required before onboarding
  • No religious or medical exemptions allowed for respirator fit testing
  • Positive TB test requires documentation of a negative chest x-ray (optional but recommended)

This position is ideal for experienced postpartum RNs seeking a rotating shift schedule in a hospital setting with a 13-week contract.
