Description
CT Technologist Position – Boston, Massachusetts
Job Summary
Perform high-quality computed tomography (CT) scans for diagnostic purposes, ensuring patient safety and comfort. Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare teams to provide accurate imaging results for diagnosis and treatment.
Work Schedule
- Monday & Wednesday plus rotating day shifts
- Hours: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
Contract Length
- 13 weeks
Required Qualifications
- Valid CT Technologist license in Massachusetts
- Minimum of 3 years of CT Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
- Associate's Degree in Radiologic Technology or an Associate's Degree in a Related Field of Study is mandatory
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or Red Cross
Essential Job Functions
- Perform CT imaging procedures per physician orders and protocols
- Ensure proper patient positioning and immobilization to optimize image quality and minimize radiation exposure
- Review and verify patient information, including medical history and prior imaging
- Operate and calibrate CT equipment, maintaining safety standards
- Monitor patients during procedures for safety and comfort
- Collaborate with radiologists for image interpretation and follow-up imaging requests
- Maintain accurate documentation of procedures and patient data
- Follow infection control and radiation safety protocols
Patient Care
- This position requires direct patient care
Onboarding and Compliance Requirements
- Primary source verification of professional license/certification within 30 days of start date; conditional licenses not accepted
- N95 respirator fit test within 365 days prior to start and updated annually (no exemptions allowed)
- Respirator Medical Clearance attestation required if fit test is needed
- Documentation of immunity or vaccination for measles, mumps, and rubella (MMR)
- Tuberculosis (TB) screening within 3 months of start date, updated if break >6 months
- Physician health statement within 365 days of start date, updated if break >6 months
- Criminal background check within 45 days prior to start, updated if break >6 months
- Massachusetts CORI background check within 30 days prior to start, updated if break >6 months
- National sex offender registry check within 30 days prior to start, updated annually
- Exclusion checks (OIG, GSA, Medicaid) within 30 days prior to start, updated annually
- Verification of education through background check
- Social Security Number trace as part of background check
- Submission of resume covering past 7 years of work experience with city and state
- Two professional references within 4 years, including at least one supervisor-level
- Completion of skills checklist within 1 year of submission
- Confirmation of assignment form required upon acceptance and for any start date changes
Additional Notes
- Positive TB test requires documentation of a negative chest x-ray
- Name change documentation may be required if credentials do not match legal name
- No prior travel experience requirement specified
