Description
Sonographer Position – Boston, Massachusetts
Job Details
- Specialty: Ultrasonographer
- Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM (12-hour shifts)
- Schedule: 3 shifts per week
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Work Focus: Head and neck ultrasounds
- Employment Type: Long-term assignment (LTA)
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist, with experience within the last year
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Health and Safety Requirements
- Fit Test: N95 respirator fit test within 365 days prior to start, updated annually; must be completed offsite using designated form; no exemptions allowed
- Respirator Medical Clearance: Attestation required as part of fit test process
- Immunizations: Documentation of MMR vaccination series or proof of immunity via titer
- TB Screening: Negative TB skin test or blood test (QuantiFERON or T-spot) within 3 months of start; updated if break in service exceeds 6 months
- Health Statement: Physician-signed health statement within 365 days of start; updated if break exceeds 6 months
Background and Professional Checks
- Criminal Background Check: Completed within 45 days prior to start; includes seven-year county and international residence/employment history
- Massachusetts CORI Check: Completed within 30 days prior to start; updated if break exceeds 6 months
- National Sex Offender Registry Check: Completed within 30 days prior to start; updated annually
- Exclusion Checks: Completed within 30 days prior to start and annually; includes OIG, GSA, MassHealth, and NH Medicaid exclusion lists
- Social Security Number Trace: Completed with criminal background check covering last 7 years
- Education Verification: Highest level of education verified through background check (not required for CNA roles)
Submission Requirements
- Resume: Must include last 7 years of work experience with city and state for all positions and education
- References: Two references within the last 4 years, including at least one supervisor or higher in the relevant skillset
- Skills Checklist: Completed within 1 year of submission
- Candidate Submission Coversheet: Required for initial assignment and new facility submissions
- Confirmation of Assignment/POI Form: Required upon acceptance of assignment and for extensions
Additional Notes
- Name change documentation may be required if credential names do not match legal name.
- Positive TB test requires documentation of a negative chest x-ray after the positive test.
- Some health and background checks must be updated if there is a break in service exceeding specified timeframes.
