Registered Nurse (RN) Cath Lab - Travel Assignment
Location: Passaic, New Jersey
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (13 weeks)
Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Job Summary
- Provide direct patient care to adult and geriatric populations in the Cardiovascular Laboratory.
- Monitor physiologic and hemodynamic data during diagnostic and therapeutic cardiac procedures.
- Continuously assess and record patient condition while in the Cath Lab.
- Communicate patient status with physicians as needed.
- Assist with equipment maintenance, inventory, and procedure room readiness.
- Participate in performance improvement and quality assurance activities.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Jersey.
- Minimum 1 year of Cardiac Cath Lab experience within the last year.
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by American Heart Association or Red Cross.
- Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification issued by American Heart Association or Red Cross.
- Certification in DCI/BVP (Drug Cardiac Interventional/Basic Venipuncture Procedures).
Onboarding and Compliance Requirements
- Up-to-date immunizations and health screenings including:
- COVID-19 vaccine series plus booster or documented declination.
- MMR (proof of immunity via vaccination or titer).
- Hepatitis B (3 immunizations, immune titer, or declination).
- Influenza vaccine or declination (seasonal requirement).
- Varicella immunity (vaccination or titer).
- Tdap vaccine (declination may not be accepted in some states).
- Tuberculosis test within one year of start date.
- Annual respirator fit test (3M 1860(s) or 3M 9205+ masks accepted).
- Annual physical/health statement confirming clearance to work.
- National criminal background check within one year of start date.
- Drug screening (minimum 10-panel including THC) within 60 days of start.
- Employment eligibility verification (Form I-9 or agency attestation).
- Completion of workplace violence prevention training.
- Submission of a valid driver’s license, state ID, or passport.
- Completion of agency attestation and exclusion list (SAM/EPLS) search.
- Signed current job description (within the past year).
- Submission of an up-to-date resume and two professional references (one must be from a manager or direct supervisor).
