Registered Nurse - Telemetry I (RN Telemetry I)
Location: Chicago, Illinois
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
Contract Length: 52 weeks (1 year)
Job Description
- Provide care on a 37-bed cardiac telemetry unit with typical nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:5 or 1:6; rarely 1:7.
- Must be able to float to other medical/surgical, telemetry, and orthopedic units as needed.
- Must be available to work the specified shifts from June 11 to June 12 (dates may indicate initial orientation or critical coverage period).
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois.
- Minimum of 1 year of telemetry nursing experience, with telemetry experience within the last year.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or Red Cross.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or Red Cross.
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
- Workplace Violence Prevention training (DCI/BVP).
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
Required Documentation for Submission
- Up-to-date resume reflecting recent work history.
- Two professional references, including at least one from a manager or direct supervisor.
- Prime Skills Checklist.
Additional Onboarding Requirements
- Prime Education Verification (diploma or transcripts accepted if third-party verification unavailable).
- Prime OIG exclusion search completed and documented.
- Prime SAM/EPLS exclusion search completed and documented.
- Prime Agency Attestation form completed after all credentials are uploaded.
- Prime Badge Photo (clear headshot with plain background).
- Prime Form I-9 (Employment Eligibility Verification) or agency attestation.
- Signed current job description (within the past year).
- Prime Core Competencies Exam with a minimum score of 80%.
- Prime Criminal Background Check (see exceptions by state).
- Prime Drug Screening (minimum 10-panel including THC) within 60 days of start.
- Prime Color-blind test completed annually.
- Essentials Onboarding Packet completed.
- Onboarding Education Attestation completed prior to clearance to start.
- Workplace Violence Prevention training (DCI/BVP).

- Specialty: Registered Nurse in Telemetry.
- Years of experience: Minimum 1 year of telemetry nursing experience within the last year.
- Prior travel experience: Not required.

- This position requires flexibility to float between units including medical/surgical, telemetry, and orthopedic.
- Fit testing will not be completed onsite in Illinois; must be completed prior to start.
