Required Qualifications
- Current RN license valid in Connecticut (license verification must be dated within 30 days of start)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from the American Heart Association
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) or Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC) certification
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certification
- Specialty-specific competency testing completed within the past year
- Skills checklist for clinical contractors (provided by agency)
- Fit test and respirator evaluation with physician signature
- Current immunizations and health requirements including:
- COVID-19 vaccine or approved exemption/declination (booster required through Sept 2025)
- Influenza vaccine or approved exemption/declination (valid for upcoming flu season)
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) proof of vaccination or immunity
- Hepatitis B vaccination series initiated prior to start
- Varicella vaccination or immunity proof
- Tdap vaccine (declinations accepted if no pediatric interaction)
- 2-step PPD or IGRA (Quantiferon/Tspot) test with chest x-ray if positive (per state requirements)
- Physical/health statement confirming fitness to work within the last year
- 10-panel drug screen completed within 30 days of start (no THC)
- Background and professional verifications including:
- Federal, nationwide, and county criminal background check within last 7 years
- Social Security Number verification
- Education verification (highest degree or diploma)
- Exclusion screenings (OIG, EPLS, NSO, OFAC) dated within 30 days of start
- Signed Code of Conduct, Conflict of Interest Disclosure, Confidentiality and Security Agreement, Integrity and Audit Services Form
- System access form completed one week before start
- Joint Commission CORE exam within the past year
