Description

Registered Nurse (Medical/Surgical/Telemetry) - Long-Term Assignment

Location: Des Moines, Iowa
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (Night Shift)
Contract Length: 13 weeks (approximately 3 months)
Schedule: Every other weekend and every other holiday


Job Description

  • Provide nursing care on Medical/Surgical and Telemetry units.
  • Work a night shift with a rotating weekend and holiday schedule.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Iowa
  • Telemetry nursing experience of at least 1 year, with experience within the last year
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
  • National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Onboarding Documentation

  • Resume and skills checklist within the last year.
  • Two professional references.
  • Specialty-specific competency exam results.
  • All required forms and screenings must be uploaded to the credentialing system prior to start.

Additional Notes

  • Agency will provide the skills checklist for clinical contractors.
  • License verification must be dated within 30 days of start.
  • All documentation requiring signatures or verification must be current and complete before assignment start date.

This position is ideal for experienced RNs comfortable with night shifts and working in a combined Medical/Surgical and Telemetry environment, meeting comprehensive credentialing and compliance requirements.

Onboarding is somewhat tedious, but they do dot every "i" and cross every T.
