Job Opportunity: Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN)

Location

Hartford, Connecticut

Employment Type

Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Work Schedule

36 hours per week, every other week
Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM

Required Experience

Level 1 or Level 2 trauma experience required

Required Certifications

BLS (Basic Life Support)
ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) or ENPC (Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course)
TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)

Required Licensure

Current RN license valid in Connecticut
License verification must be dated within 30 days of start date

Required Health and Safety Compliance

COVID-19 vaccine with booster (or approved declination/exemption where allowed)
Influenza vaccine (optional)
Hepatitis B vaccination series (at least first dose prior to start)
MMR vaccination or immunity proof
Varicella vaccination or immunity proof
Tdap vaccination (declination accepted if no pediatric interaction)
2-Step PPD or IGRA (Quantiferon/Tspot) test for TB screening
Physical/Health statement confirming fitness to work (exam within last year)
Fit test for respirator use
10-panel drug screen completed within 30 days of start (no THC)

Additional Requirements

Specialty-specific competency testing completed within the last year
Skills checklist provided by agency for clinical contractors
Criminal background check (federal, nationwide, county for last 7 years) within 30 days of start
Education verification of highest academic degree or diploma
Various professional compliance forms and disclosures required prior to start
System access form to be completed one week before start

Requirements/Qualifications

Valid RN license in Connecticut
Minimum of 1 year of Emergency Department (ED) experience within the last year
Experience working with Level 1 or Level 2 trauma patients
BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
ACLS certification
PALS or ENPC certification
TNCC certification
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
