Job Opportunity: Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN)
Location
- Hartford, Connecticut
Employment Type
- Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
Work Schedule
- 36 hours per week, every other week
- Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
Required Experience
- Level 1 or Level 2 trauma experience required
Required Certifications
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) or ENPC (Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course)
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
Required Licensure
- Current RN license valid in Connecticut
- License verification must be dated within 30 days of start date
Required Health and Safety Compliance
- COVID-19 vaccine with booster (or approved declination/exemption where allowed)
- Influenza vaccine (optional)
- Hepatitis B vaccination series (at least first dose prior to start)
- MMR vaccination or immunity proof
- Varicella vaccination or immunity proof
- Tdap vaccination (declination accepted if no pediatric interaction)
- 2-Step PPD or IGRA (Quantiferon/Tspot) test for TB screening
- Physical/Health statement confirming fitness to work (exam within last year)
- Fit test for respirator use
- 10-panel drug screen completed within 30 days of start (no THC)
Additional Requirements
- Specialty-specific competency testing completed within the last year
- Skills checklist provided by agency for clinical contractors
- Criminal background check (federal, nationwide, county for last 7 years) within 30 days of start
- Education verification of highest academic degree or diploma
- Various professional compliance forms and disclosures required prior to start
- System access form to be completed one week before start
Requirements/Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Connecticut
- Minimum of 1 year of Emergency Department (ED) experience within the last year
- Experience working with Level 1 or Level 2 trauma patients
- BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
- ACLS certification
- PALS or ENPC certification
- TNCC certification
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
