Job Opportunity: Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN)

Location: Hartford, Connecticut
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 06:30 AM – 03:30 PM


Job Summary

Seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Operating Room specialty. This role involves providing direct patient care in a surgical setting.


Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Connecticut
  • Minimum of 1 year of Operating Room (OR) experience, with OR experience within the last year
  • BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Onboarding and Compliance Requirements

Candidates must complete and provide documentation for the following before starting:

Health and Immunization

  • Fit Test
  • COVID-19 Vaccine (including booster by Sept 2025) or approved declination/exemption (declination not accepted in CA or IL)
  • MMR: Proof of 2 vaccinations or IgG titer lab report
  • Hepatitis B: Must have started vaccination series prior to start (titers not accepted)
  • Influenza Vaccine: Optional but recommended (declination accepted except in CA or IL)
  • 2 Step PPD or IGRA (Quantiferon/Tspot) with chest x-ray if positive (within 1 year for CT)
  • Varicella: Proof of 1 vaccination or IgG titer lab report
  • Physical/Health Statement: Exam within last year confirming fitness to work
  • Tdap: Current vaccine or declination if no pediatric interaction

Drug Screening

  • 10 Panel Drug Screen completed within 30 days of start (including specific substances; no THC) with MRO signature

Professional and Background Checks

  • Criminal Background Check (Federal, Nationwide, County for last 7 years, including SSN verification; dated within 30 days)
  • Education Verification (highest academic degree or diploma/GED)
  • EPLS (Excluded Parties List System) check within 30 days
  • OIG (Office of Inspector General) exclusion check within 30 days
  • NSO (National Sex Offender) check within 30 days
  • OFAC (Office of Foreign Assets Control) sanctions check within 30 days

Documentation and Forms

  • Trinity Code of Conduct Form (signed)
  • Trinity I9 Form (completed by agency)
  • Confidentiality and Information Security Agreement (signed)
  • Integrity and Audit Services Form (signed shortly before start)
  • Conflict of Interest Disclosure Form (signed)
  • System Access Form (completed and uploaded one week before start)

Competency and Skills

  • Specialty Specific Competency Testing (exam completed within last year)
  • Skills Checklist (provided by agency for clinical contractors)
  • CORE Joint Commission Testing (completed within last year)

Additional Notes

  • All required documents must be uploaded to the credentialing system prior to onboarding.
  • License verification must be a scanned online verification dated within 30 days of start.
  • Some forms require signatures on specific pages.
  • Flu vaccine is optional but recommended; declination accepted except in CA or IL.
  • Hepatitis B vaccination series must be in progress before start; titers are not accepted as proof.

This position is ideal for an experienced Operating Room RN who meets stringent credentialing and compliance standards and is available for a 13-week assignment in Hartford, CT.
