Job Opportunity: RN Pediatrics (Long-Term Assignment)
Location: Mason City, Iowa
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks (approximately 3 months)
Schedule: Every third weekend / Holiday rotation including Christmas
Required Credentials & Compliance
Licenses & Certifications
- Registered Nurse License: Must be current and verified within 30 days of start.
- BLS (Basic Life Support): American Heart Association certification required for all direct patient care personnel. Must provide front and back images of the card.
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support): Required for RNs in the Emergency Department. Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC) certificate also acceptable.
Health & Immunizations
- Fit Test: Required.
- 10 Panel Drug Screen: Completed within 30 days of start (preferred within 14 days). Must include specific substances (no THC).
- COVID-19 Vaccine: Proof of September 2025 booster, declination or exemption accepted (except for CA or IL).
- MMR: Proof of 2 vaccinations or IgG titer lab results.
- Hepatitis B: Must have started vaccination series prior to start; titers not accepted.
- Influenza Vaccine: Proof of vaccine, declination, or exemption for flu season 10/1/2024 - 4/30/2025.
- 2 Step PPD OR IGRA (Quantiferon/Tspot): TB screening required; positive TB requires chest x-ray per regional guidelines.
- Varicella: Proof of 1 vaccination or IgG titer lab results.
- Tdap: Current, non-expired vaccine required; declinations accepted if no pediatric interaction.
Physical & Health Statements
- Documentation from an exam within the last year confirming fitness to work.
Professional & Background Requirements
- Resume, Skills Checklist, and 2 Professional References: Must be current (within one year).
- Criminal Background Check: Federal, nationwide, county checks covering last 7 years, including SSN verification, dated within 30 days of start.
- Education Verification: Highest level of academic education verified by third party screening.
- EPLS (Excluded Parties List System) Check: Dated within past 30 days.
- OIG (Office of Inspector General) Check: Dated within past 30 days.
- NSO (National Sex Offender) Check: Dated within 30 days; includes all aliases and locations.
- Iowa Sing Report: State-specific criminal history, sex offender, and abuse registry checks required within 30 days prior to start.
- Conflict of Interest Disclosure Form: Must be signed and on file.
- Code of Conduct Form: Must be signed and on file.
- Confidentiality & Security Agreement: Must be signed and on file.
- Integrity and Audit Services Form: Signed within days prior to start.
- Non-Employee Upload Form: Completed and uploaded.
- System Access Form: Completed and uploaded one week before start.
Competency & Training
- Specialty Specific Competency Testing: Must be completed within the last year.
- Joint Commission CORE Exam: Must be completed within the last year.
- Skills Checklist: Provided by agency for clinical contractors.
- Child and Adult Dependent Abuse Training: Required for Iowa assignments.
This position requires compliance with all above credentials and documentation prior to onboarding and start date.
