CT Tech Travel Opportunity

Location: Springfield, Missouri
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 14 weeks

Position Details

• Specialty: CT Tech
• Shift: Evenings, Monday to Friday, 2:30 pm - 11:00 pm
• Weekly Hours: 36 hours guaranteed
• Weekend Hours: As required by facility
• Call Requirements: None
• Float Requirements: As required by facility; float only if there is a call-in in the same department

Required Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum 1 year CT Tech experience in a hospital setting, including X-ray experience
• Certifications:

  • Registered with the ARRT in Radiography and CT
  • BLS certification from AHA only
• Education: Successful completion of an accredited Radiography program
• Additional: Must be ARRT registered or registry eligible upon hire, with ARRT certification achieved within six months of employment

Job Responsibilities

• Provide diagnostic CT scans for interpretation by radiologists and/or ordering physicians promptly
• Cover CT duties within ER/Inpatient departments as needed during shifts
• Apply principles of radiation safety and emergency procedures
• Organize daily schedules and serve as a dedicated resource to the CT team
• Operate and maintain CT equipment safely, report malfunctions immediately
• Review orders, schedule patients and resources appropriately
• Perform all procedures according to protocols prescribed by radiologists/physicians
• Collaborate with staff and physicians to ensure optimal patient care
• Assist in quality improvement programs and department orientation/training
• Perform venipuncture for CT contrast instillation and operate pressure injectors
• Efficiently manage CTA/stroke studies including 3D reconstruction
• Maintain cleanliness and readiness of exam rooms and equipment
• Manage timely exam documentation and charge entry in EHR
• Display flexibility to work in any area or adjust schedule as needed

Additional Information

• Flu vaccination or approved exemption required for all travelers from November 1 to April 1 (declinations not accepted)
• Evening and night shift orientation occurs on day shift and requires availability for the entire week
• Dress code: Black scrubs only; no other attire permitted
