Job Opportunity: RN Labor and Delivery

Location: Jackson, Mississippi
Facility: St. Dominic Hospital
Hospital System: Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady Health System
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Experience Required: Minimum 2 years in Labor and Delivery


Required Credentials and Certifications for Onboarding

Licenses & Certifications

  • BLS (AHA or ARC only)
  • ACLS (AHA only)
  • NRP (AHA only)
  • AWHONN/Fetal Heart Monitoring
  • Nursys (Nursing license verification within 30 days of start)
  • License/Certificate Verification (Primary source verification within 30 days of start)

Professional Requirements

  • FMOLHS MS Fingerprinting (State requirement for Mississippi)
  • FMOLHS Resume (required for submission)
  • FMOLHS Criminal Background Check (within 30 days prior to start, includes multiple county and national checks, education and employment verification)
  • FMOLHS HRIS Form (required for submission)
  • FMOLHS Badge Photo (forward facing, well-lit, JPEG format)
  • FMOLHS Contract Annual Education (annual requirement)
  • FMOLHS Code of Conduct (signed and dated annually)

Skills and Competency Testing

  • FMOLHS Skills Checklist (unit-specific, within 1 year prior to start, updated annually)
  • FMOLHS Competency Exam (passing score 80%+, within 1 year prior to start)
  • FMOLHS Core Competencies (passing score 80%+, updated annually; includes HIPAA, Patient Bill of Rights, Safety Orientation, Bloodborne Pathogens, Fire Safety, Infection Control, Elder Abuse and Neglect, Age Specific Care, Cultural Diversity, Advance Directives)

Personal Health and Immunization Requirements

  • COVID-19 Vaccine: Optional (proof of vaccine or exemption accepted)
  • MMR: Proof of 2 immunizations, positive titer, or declination with signed statement
  • Fit Test: N95 mask fit test (3M 1860, 1860s, or 1870+), within 1 year prior to start, updated annually
  • Hepatitis B: Proof of 3 immunizations, positive titer, or declination with required signatures
  • Influenza Vaccine: Optional; medical or religious exemptions accepted with proper documentation
  • TB Test: Negative QuantiFERON blood test within 1 year or 2-step skin test; if positive, MD note or proof of treatment required
  • Health Statement: Signed and dated within 1 year confirming ability to work without restrictions
  • Varicella: Proof of 2 immunizations, positive titer, or declination with signed statement
  • Tdap: Proof of vaccination within past 10 years or declination with required signatures
  • Annual TB Questionnaire: Required within 6 months of start; if positive, documentation of evaluation and treatment completion required
  • FMOLHS Drug Screen: Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days prior to start (includes marijuana/THC, PCP, amphetamines, opiates, cocaine, benzodiazepines, barbiturates, methadone, propoxyphene, methaqualone)
  • FMOLHS Eye Exam & Color Vision: Ishihara Color Test and Snellen Vision test within 1 year prior to start

This position requires thorough compliance with all credentialing, licensing, competency, and health requirements prior to onboarding.
