Description

Job Opportunity: Mammography Technician

Location: Boston, Massachusetts
Facility: Massachusetts General Hospital (Mass General Brigham system)
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Requirements

  • Must have a valid Massachusetts license for Radiology and Mammography.
  • Work Schedule:
    • Monday: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
    • Tuesday: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
    • Saturday: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
    • Sunday: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

Credentials & Compliance Requirements

Licenses & Certifications

  • Valid professional license(s) verified by primary source within 30 days of start date. MA Conditional Licenses are not accepted.
  • ARRT certification required.

Health & Immunizations

  • MMR: Documentation of required vaccines or proof of immunity.
  • TB Test: Negative TB skin test or blood test within 3 months of start date, updated if >6 month break.
  • Health Statement: Physician-signed statement within 365 days of start date, updated if >6 month break.
  • Influenza Vaccine: Required during flu season (Sept 15 – April 30). No exemptions allowed.
  • Hepatitis B and Tdap vaccines are strongly preferred but optional.
  • Positive TB test requires a negative chest X-ray and TB symptom survey (optional but recommended).

Background & Professional Checks

  • Criminal background check within 45 days prior to start, including county and international searches if applicable.
  • Massachusetts CORI background check within 30 days prior to start.
  • National sex offender registry check within 30 days prior to start and updated annually.
  • Exclusion checks (OIG, GSA, MassHealth, NH Medicaid) within 30 days prior to start and annually.
  • Social Security Number trace for the past 7 years.
  • Education verification of highest degree or certification.

Documentation & Submission Requirements

  • Resume including past 7 years of work experience with city and state.
  • Two recent references (minimum one supervisor or above in skillset).
  • Skills checklist specific to the role.
  • Candidate submission coversheet.
  • Confirmation of assignment form upon acceptance and for extensions.
  • Respirator Medical Clearance attestation if fit testing is required.

This position requires strict adherence to Massachusetts healthcare regulations and Mass General Brigham credentialing policies.
