Job Opportunity: RN CVOR - Travel Position

Location: Milwaukee, Wisconsin
Facility: WIMIL CSM Milwaukee Hosp (Ascension Health)
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Work Schedule

• Monday to Friday, 8-hour shifts (variable based on need/volume)
• Call hours based on department needs
• Holiday call hours based on need

Experience & Skills Required

• Minimum 2 years CVOR (Cardiovascular Operating Room) experience
• Experience with EPIC electronic health record system
• Prior travel nursing experience preferred
• Ability to float onsite within skill set or to other sites within 40 miles if needed

Required Certifications & Licenses

• BLS (American Heart Association)
• ACLS (American Heart Association)
• Current nursing license with Nursys verification within 30 days prior to start
• License/Certificate verification within 30 days prior to start
• Driver’s License/State ID (must be current and valid)

Mandatory Onboarding & Testing Requirements

• Ascension Color Vision test (updated every 3 years)
• Ascension Core Competencies (HIPAA, Joint Commission, OSHA topics; yearly update)
• Ascension EKG Exam (passing score required)
• Ascension Epic Test-Out (training and test results required)
• Ascension Specialty Exam (updated every 3 years)
• Ascension Onboarding Requirements Education Attestation
• Ascension Nursing Contract Worker Onboarding (completed onsite)
• Ascension Nova StatStrip training
• Ascension Skills Checklist (clinical skills, updated annually)
• Ascension 12 Panel Drug Screen (within 30 days prior to start, updated annually)
• Ascension Criminal Background Check (including SSN trace, employment verification, national criminal checks)
• Ascension EPLS (Exclusionary Party List System) check (within 90 days prior to start)
• Ascension Education Verification (within 90 days prior to start)
• Ascension Employment Verification (past 7 years)
• Ascension Confirmation of Assignment documentation

Health & Immunization Requirements

• MMR: Documented proof of two vaccines or positive IGG titer (no declinations accepted)
• Hepatitis B: Vaccination series completion or signed declination
• Influenza Vaccine: Optional but recommended; exemptions require mask wearing during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31)
• Positive PPD or Negative Chest X-Ray and Annual TB Questionnaire (must be current)
• 2 Step PPD or IGRA test (within 1 year and 30 days of start)
• Varicella: Proof of immunity or two vaccine doses (no declinations accepted)
• Tdap: Valid within 10 years (no declinations accepted)
• Fit Test: Required for all travelers, preferred prior to start, updated annually
• Health Statement or physical exam prior to first assignment, updated annually

Additional Notes

• Nursys verification required within 30 days prior to start; disciplinary actions require FACIS Questionnaire
• Some checklists and attestations must be uploaded by agency or unit leader
• Must provide a forward-facing badge photo with white or blue background (no filters or alterations)
