Description
Job Opportunity: RN Emergency Room
Location: Boston, Massachusetts
Facility: Massachusetts General Hospital (Mass General Brigham system)
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Work Schedule
- 36 or 48 hours per week
- Night shifts
- Every other weekend and holidays
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 4 years of RN experience
- At least 1 year of travel nursing experience
- Level 1 Emergency Room experience required
Required Credentials & Compliance
Licenses & Certifications
- Valid professional nursing license with primary source verification (NURSYS and Board of Nursing required)
- MA Conditional Licenses NOT accepted
- BLS certification (AHA preferred; Red Cross accepted)
- MGB Resume including 7 years of work history (city & state required)
- MGB Skills Checklist
- 2 recent professional references (minimum 1 supervisor or above)
Health & Immunization Requirements
- N95 Fit Test within 365 days of start date, updated annually (no onsite testing; must use MGB form)
- MGB Medication Exam with 80% passing score within 365 days
- Documentation of MMR immunity (vaccines or blood titer)
- TB test documentation within 3 months of start date (skin test or blood test), updated if >6 month break
- Health Statement signed by MD/DO/NP/PA within 365 days, updated if >6 month break
- Influenza vaccine required during flu season (Sept 15 - April 30) with no exemptions
- Optional but strongly preferred: Hepatitis B vaccination or immunity proof
- Optional: Tdap vaccine within 10 years
- Optional: Positive PPD requires negative chest x-ray documentation
Background & Professional Checks
- MGB Criminal Background Check within 45 days prior to start, updated if >6 month break
- Massachusetts CORI background check within 30 days prior to start, updated if >6 month break
- MGB Education Verification (highest level of education)
- MGB Social Security Number Trace (last 7 years addresses/aliases)
- National Sex Offender Registry check within 30 days prior to start, updated annually
- Exclusion checks (OIG, GSA, MassHealth, NH Medicaid) within 30 days prior to start and annually
Additional Requirements
- Respirator Medical Clearance Attestation (part of Fit Test form)
- MGB Confirmation of Assignment/POI Form upon acceptance and for extensions

Notes
