Job Overview

The Cath Lab at Bassett Medical Center is seeking experienced Cath Lab Technicians skilled in cardiac catheterization procedures and advanced imaging technology. This role requires proficiency with Philips x-ray equipment, Xper monitoring system, and Epic software. Candidates should be comfortable working in a high-acuity environment and have experience performing Interventional Radiology (IR), Vascular, and Electrophysiology (EP) cases.

Shift and Schedule

• Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM (10-hour shifts, 4 days per week)
• On-call approximately 1 weekday per week
• On-call coverage every 5th to 6th weekend (Friday 5:30 PM to Monday 7:00 AM)

Required Experience and Skills

• Prior Cath Lab experience is essential
• Preferred experience with:

  • Cath procedures
  • Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR)
  • Left Atrial Appendage Occlusion (LAAO)
  • EP/pacemakers, ablations, vascular, and IR procedures

Equipment and Software

• Philips x-ray equipment
• Xper monitoring system
• Epic electronic health record system

Certifications and Onboarding Requirements

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• CCI (Cardiovascular Credentialing International) certification
• Valid professional license/certification verification
• Completion of Bassett Core Competencies, Unit Exam, and Skills Checklist
• Required health screenings and immunizations: MMR, Fit Test, Hepatitis B, Influenza Vaccine, TB Test, Varicella, Tdap (optional), Annual TB Questionnaire, Physical/Health Statement
• Professional requirements: Driver’s License/State ID, 2 professional references, criminal background check, resume, webchecks, national and state sex offender registry checks, education and employment verification, client forms including security and confidentiality agreements
• Drug screening
