Job Opportunity: RN Cath Lab
Location: Kansas City, Missouri
Facility: Saint Joseph Medical Center (Prime Healthcare Foundation, Inc.)
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Provide direct patient care to adult and geriatric populations in the cardiovascular lab.
- Address psychosocial, physical, and general care aspects related to the surgical environment.
- Continuous communication with physicians regarding patient condition.
- Assist with maintenance of equipment and inventory.
- Assess procedure room and equipment readiness.
- Obtain supplies for individual cases and support the Cardiovascular Laboratory team.
- Monitor physiologic and hemodynamic data during diagnostic and therapeutic cardiovascular procedures.
- Continuously monitor and record patient condition while in the Cardiovascular Lab.
- Participate in performance improvement and continuous quality improvement activities.
Qualifications & Experience
- BSN preferred.
- Active RN license in Missouri required.
- Current BCLS (AHA) certification required.
- ACLS certification required at start and must be maintained.
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in a Cardiovascular Lab doing cardiac work or in a Critical Care area.
Required Credentials & Compliance (Must be current and verifiable prior to or at onboarding)
- Certifications:
- BLS (American Heart Association or Red Cross)
- ACLS (American Heart Association or Red Cross)
- DCI/BVP (Workplace Violence Prevention training)
- Licenses:
- Active RN license verification (Primary Source Verification within 30 days of start)
- Nursys license verification
- Testing & Exams:
- Prime Basic Pharmacology Exam (minimum 80%)
- Prime Basic Rhythm Interpretation Screening (minimum 80%)
- Prime Core Competencies Exam
- Prime Specialty Exam (minimum 80%)
- Health & Immunizations:
- COVID-19 Vaccine (2 doses + booster required or declination)
- MMR (Proof of 2 vaccines or positive titer)
- Hepatitis B (vaccination or immunity; declinations not accepted at some facilities)
- Influenza Vaccine or declination (required seasonally)
- TB Test
- Varicella (vaccination or immunity)
- Tdap (declinations not accepted at some facilities)
- Annual Respirator Fit Test (must be completed prior to start if not available onsite)
- Physical/Health Statement (clear to work, completed annually or within 60 days of start)
- Background & Compliance Checks:
- National Criminal Background Check within one year of start
- Prime OIG exclusion check
- Prime SAM/EPLS exclusion check
- Prime Drug Screening (minimum 10-panel including THC, within 60 days of start)
- Other Requirements:
- Driver’s License, State ID, or Passport
- Prime Agency Attestation (completed after all credentials uploaded)
- Prime Form I-9 (Employment eligibility verification)

- Some credentials and tests are facility-specific and must be completed or verified prior to onboarding.
- Annual updates required for certain certifications and health screenings.
- Compliance with all credentialing and testing requirements is mandatory for assignment start and continuation.
