Position Overview
- Role: CT Tech in Radiology Department
- Shift: Evenings, 4 shifts per week, 10 hours each (4 x 10)
- Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
- Weekend Hours: None
- Call Requirements: None
- Number of Openings: 1
Required Qualifications
- Certifications:
- ARRT Registered Technologist (R)
- ARRT CT registry
- Licensure: Missouri Radiologic Technologist License
- Experience: 1-2+ years working in Emergency Department setting, trauma, stroke, CT angiography (CTA), and perfusion
- Education: Graduation from an AMA-approved school of Radiologic Technology
- Skills:
- Ability to manipulate patient and transfer equipment
- Continual standing and walking
- Recognize emergency situations
- Adapt to fast-paced workload
- Effective communication skills
- Basic computer knowledge
- Ability to read and communicate effectively in English
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of CTA and perfusion imaging
Unit Information
- Work Setting: Emergency Department
- Patient Types: Trauma, stroke, CTA, perfusion cases
- Equipment:
- GE Revolution (256 slices) newest platform
- Siemens CT scanners
- EMR System: EPIC
Job Responsibilities
- Perform CT procedures under the direction of a Radiologist
- Use independent judgment and initiative to obtain optimal image quality
- Responsible for all aspects of CT imaging procedures including anatomical positioning and physiology
- Independently select and modify technical factors to produce optimum CT scans
- Prioritize patient welfare, confidentiality, and comfort
- Perform duties consistent with the facility’s mission, vision, and values
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Must be capable of lifting, moving, and transporting patients
- Continual standing and walking required
- Ability to recognize emergency situations and adapt to a fast-paced environment
