Job Opportunity: RN Emergency Room
Location: Boston, Massachusetts
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Work Schedule
- 36 or 48 hours per week
- Night shifts
- Every other weekend and holidays
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 4 years of RN experience
- At least 1 year of travel nursing experience
- Level 1 Emergency Room experience required
Required Credentials and Certifications
- RN License: Primary source verification required within 30 days of start date; MA Conditional Licenses not accepted. Both NURSYS and Board of Nursing verification required.
- BLS Certification: Required for onboarding (AHA preferred; Red Cross accepted).
- Fit Test: N95 fit test within 365 days of start date, updated annually. Must be completed prior to start; no religious exemptions.
- MGB Medication Exam: 80% passing score within 365 days required.
- Immunizations and Health Requirements:
- MMR: Documentation of vaccination or proof of immunity required.
- Influenza Vaccine: Required during flu season (Sept 15 - April 30), no exemptions.
- TB Test: Negative TB skin test or blood test within 3 months of start date, updated if >6 month break.
- Health Statement: Physician-signed statement within 365 days of start date, updated if >6 month break.
- Hepatitis B: Strongly preferred (vaccination or immunity proof).
- Tdap: Preferred within last 10 years.
- Respirator Medical Clearance Attestation: Required if fit test is required.
Background and Professional Checks
- Criminal background check within 45 days prior to start, updated if >6 month break.
- Massachusetts CORI background check within 30 days prior to start, updated if >6 month break.
- National Sex Offender Registry check within 30 days prior to start, updated annually.
- Exclusion checks (OIG, GSA, MassHealth, NH Medicaid) within 30 days prior to start and annually.
- Social Security Number trace for past 7 years addresses and aliases.
- Education verification of highest degree achieved.

- Resume including past 7 years of work experience with city and state.
- Two recent references (minimum one supervisor or above in skillset).
