ICU RN Travel Assignment - Nampa, Idaho
Position Details
- Specialty: Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
- Location: Nampa, Idaho
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Shift Length: 12-hour shifts (7 PM - 7 AM)
- Shift Scheduling: Scheduled by unit scheduler; shifts can be blocked or grouped together
- Weekend Requirements: As needed, typically every other weekend but may require more coverage
- Holiday Requirements: As needed
- Call/Standby: None
- Floating: May float to Telemetry unit (aim for 1:3 ratio but may take full assignment) and to ICUs in Meridian and Boise
Unit Information
- Unit: Intensive Care Unit, Floor 1
- Number of Beds: 10
- Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 1:2
- Charge Nurse: Present on each shift, does not take patients
- Support Staff: 1 CNA per shift
- Hospitalist: On site 24/7
- Intensivist: Available via telehealth 24/7
- Respiratory Therapist: In ICU 24/7
- Respiratory Equipment: Ventilators, High Flow, BiPAP
- Telemetry/Monitor Techs: None; RNs read cardiac strips (Spacelabs monitors)
Patient Population & Common Diagnoses
- Heart Failure
- Respiratory Failure
- Sepsis
- Ventilated patients
- GI Bleeds
- Strokes, TPA administration
- Post codes
- Pneumonia (PNA)
- Post-surgical patients (non-specialty surgeries)
- Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT) patients are excluded for travelers
Required Certifications & Experience
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
- Experience: Minimum 1 year ICU experience required; first-time travelers are welcome
- Skills: Must be a good team player
- RN Responsibilities: Required to titrate drips

- Propofol
- Levophed
- Dobutamine
- Vasopressin
- Fentanyl
- Epinephrine
- Diltiazem
Orientation
- 1 to 2 shifts of unit/department-specific orientation depending on experience
Dress Code
- Any color scrubs allowed as long as clean and professional
Note: This facility enforces a 50-mile radius rule for candidates.
