Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Position

Location: Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin
Specialty: Registered Nurse (ICU)
Shift: 3x12 hour night shifts, every other weekend
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Requirements

• Wisconsin or Compact nursing license required
• Must have current BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications at time of application
• Minimum 2 years recent ICU experience required
• Strong CRRT (Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy) skills required
• Willingness to float to IMCU (Intermediate Care Unit/Stepdown) as needed
• Must provide 2 professional references within the last year, including one from the most recent/current assignment

Certifications & Competencies

• BLS (Basic Life Support): ARC or AHA accepted
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support): ARC or AHA accepted
• NIH Stroke Certification: Required and must be renewed annually
• Medication/Pharmacology competency exams as applicable
• Competency exams as applicable to specialty
• Color Blind Testing required if working in dialysis/kidney center (not applicable here)

Background & Screening

• 7-year background check required within 1 year of start, updated annually
• State-specific caregiver screening for Wisconsin required
• 2 professional references verified within 2 years, with at least one from most recent acute care assignment (for inpatient RNs)

Health & Immunization Requirements

• Physical exam within 1 year of start
• Negative QGold TB test within 1 year (Chest X-Ray acceptable if within 60 days)
• Immunizations or positive titers required for:

  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B (titer, series, or declination)
  • Varicella
• Negative 9-panel drug screen within 14 days before start
• Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (October to March)

Facility Specific Requirements

• Photo for badge (passport style, shoulders up, no filters)
• Completion of compliance checklist and confidentiality statement prior to start
• Flu vaccine exemption forms if applicable

Additional Notes

• Annual skills checklist required
• Candidate clearance may be delayed if references are not completed at time of offer
• Physical and health documents do not require annual renewal unless specified
