Registered Nurse - Telemetry Nights
Location: Saint Louis, Missouri
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Unit: Telemetry (Nights)
- Patient Ratio: 1:5-6
- Experience Required: Minimum 2 years
- First-time Travelers: Accepted
- Weekend Requirement: 6 weekend shifts within a 6-week period
- On-call: Not required
- Floating: Floating within scope to meet facility needs is required
- Block Schedule: Not accommodated
- Local Radius Rule: 75 miles (locals not accepted)
- Pending License: Accepted
- Return to Orientation (RTO) Restrictions: 7 days
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week (3 shifts of 12 hours)
- Special Requirements:
- Telemetry skills including reading rhythms
- Cardiac medications and drips (no titration)
- No artificial or nail enhancements
- No Crocs with holes
- Blue uniform required
- Must work weekends and holidays

- NIH Stroke Certification (required for all nurses)

- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) or MAB (Management of Assaultive Behavior) if applicable
Licensure & Verification
- Missouri RN license required (NURSYS verification mandatory)
- Pending licenses accepted
- IV Certification required for LPN/LVN if applicable
- Primary source verification of professional license required
Background Checks & Compliance
- Criminal background check within 6 months (7-year search including statewide and nationwide)
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required quarterly
- Education verification of highest nursing degree required before start
- State-specific searches and registries as applicable
- Fingerprinting required for Illinois long-term care or rehab assignments (not applicable here)
Health & Immunization Requirements
- Physical exam within 1 year of start
- Fit mask testing (N95) required and must be renewed annually
- Tdap vaccine or declination required (every 10 years)
- Negative TB test or chest x-ray within 1 year (2-step PPD or equivalent)
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella immunity or vaccination required
- Drug testing within 1 year, must include specific panels and be current throughout assignment
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption required during flu season (Sept-April)
- Hepatitis B declination required (not mandatory to vaccinate)
Competency & Skills
- Medication test/pharmacology competency exam required
- Unit-specific competency exam required annually (Oncology comp exam if applicable)
- Unit-specific skills checklist required within 1 year of start
Facility Policies & Documents
- HIPAA Acknowledgement, Confidentiality Form, Latex Allergy Questionnaire, Hand Hygiene Policy, Fingernail Policy, Dress Code Policy must be reviewed and signed prior to start
- Badge photo required (head and shoulders, white background, no obstructions)
- Regulatory Compliance Education completed and passed prior to start (annual renewal)
- References: Two professional references required (supervisors preferred)
