Registered Nurse (RN) - Contract Position

Location: Nashua, New Hampshire
Specialty: Nursing

Job Summary

The Registered Nurse is a vital member of the patient care team responsible for delivering direct and indirect patient care through the nursing process. Duties include:

  • Assessing patients upon admission using interview techniques to gather medical history, current status, vital signs, lab work, x-rays, and other diagnostic tests.
  • Planning and implementing written care plans under physician direction.

Requirements

Education & Licensure

  • Graduate from an approved School of Nursing.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Active New Hampshire RN license required or eligibility to obtain one.
  • BLS certification required.
  • ACLS certification required.

Experience

  • Clinical experience preferred.

Certifications

  • ACLS, BLS/BCLS, PALS certifications required.
  • Specialty certification preferred.

Assessment

  • Perform standard assessments using basic equipment.

Medication Administration

  • Requires good visual acuity and hand-eye coordination.

Communication & Documentation

  • Maintain patient confidentiality.
  • Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

Patient Safety

  • Meet established job safety standards.

Interpersonal Skills

  • Interact positively with team members and patients.
  • Respect patients’ culture, lifestyle, religion, and age when planning or implementing care.
  • Accept constructive criticism and manage emotional responses positively.

Additional Information

  • Up to 16 hours of orientation is unpaid.
  • The facility reserves the right to cancel up to 3 shifts during the 13-week contract.
