Description

Job Opportunity: CT Technologist (Radiology / Cardiology)

Location: Columbus, Ohio
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Work Schedule

  • 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (1900-0730)
  • Call once every 6-10 weeks
  • Works every third weekend

  • Level I Trauma Center
  • Stroke Accredited
  • Fast-paced Emergency Room environment
  • Inpatient, Emergency Room, Operating Room, Adult ICU
  • Community Hospital setting

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform CT scans (abdomen, pelvis, chest, head/neck, spine, musculoskeletal, brain perfusion)
  • Operate CT equipment ensuring high-quality images
  • Support patient comfort and safety during procedures
  • Maintain accurate records and comply with regulatory guidelines
  • Participate in on-call rotation as needed

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of CT technologist experience
  • BLS and ARRT certifications required
  • Advanced ARRT certification preferred
  • Experience with Siemens CT equipment and Epic charting system
  • Ability to work rotating shifts, including weekends and on-call
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work under pressure

Certifications & Compliance

  • BLS (Basic Life Support) required (AHA Instructor/Provider or RQI acceptable)
  • ARRT certification required; advanced ARRT preferred
  • ACLS, PALS, NRP, EFM certifications may be required depending on unit
  • State License verification within 30 days of start
  • Annual acknowledgment of Orientation Safety Manual
  • NIH Stroke Certification may be required for ICU, PCU, ED, Brain & Spine units
  • Competency exams including unit-specific and Dysrhythmia/EKG exam required for RNs (if applicable)

Background & Screening Requirements

  • 7-year criminal background check within 90 days of start, including FBI and BCI fingerprinting (Ohio-specific code 3701.881)
  • Monthly EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG monitoring
  • Education accreditation verification required immediately after contract signing
  • Transcript or diploma verification required (including foreign education)
  • Pending background check attestation allowed if fingerprint results are pending
  • Drug screening: Negative 10-panel drug test within 3 months of start (includes amphetamines, benzodiazepines, THC, cocaine, opiates, etc.)
  • References: 2 professional references required, at least one from a manager or formal leader

Health & Immunization Requirements

  • Physical exam within 1 year of start confirming good health and free of contagious disease
  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine (adult dose after age 11/12)
  • Negative TB test or chest x-ray within 1 year; TB questionnaire required annually
  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella): 2 vaccines or positive titer; boosters if low titer
  • Hepatitis B: Titer or 3-vaccine series or signed declination
  • Varicella: 2 vaccines or positive titer; medical exemptions reviewed
  • Seasonal flu vaccine or declination (mask required if declining during flu season)
  • COVID-19 vaccination not required but strongly recommended

Additional Facility-Specific Policies

  • Dress code and hand hygiene policy must be reviewed and signed
  • Confidential Fraud, Waste, Abuse, and Compliance Reporting training and acknowledgment required
  • Ethics and compliance policies must be reviewed and acknowledged annually
  • Proof of fingerprint completion required for subcontractors
  • Background acknowledgment form required for subcontractors
