Registered Nurse (OB/L&D) - Travel/Contract
Location: Warrensburg, Missouri
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Specialty: OB/L&D Registered Nurse
- Schedule: 3 shifts per week, 12-hour night shifts
- Work Pattern: Every other weekend; block schedule may be limited
- Experience with NICU is a bonus
- Ability to work in labor, postpartum, and nursery areas
- Responsibilities include C-section circulator and recovery
- Experience with Cerner electronic health record system preferred
- Local candidates and first-time travelers are welcome
- Holiday work required
Required Certifications
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
- Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM)
Preferred Certifications
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) - ENPC accepted in lieu for ER
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) for ER/ICU
Compliance & Documentation Requirements
- Proof of I9 or Attestation
- Government-issued photo ID (must be carried during hours of service)
- Proof of E-Verify or Attestation
- Residency Declaration Form (if working on a compact license)
- Background Check: 7-year criminal check within 60 days of start, updated annually
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 30 days of start and updated for renewals
- State-specific Missouri EDL Search before start and for contract renewals
- Primary source verification of state nursing license
- NURSYS verification for RNs
- Proof of 2 clinical references or hospital evaluations
- Skills checklist updated annually for applicable unit
- Performance and internal evaluations if employed over 1 year
Health & Safety Requirements
- Initial physical exam and annual updates confirming ability to meet physical demands
- N95 fit test within past 12 months (can be completed onsite)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year, updated annually
- Immunizations or titers for:
- Rubeola (Measles)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Hepatitis B (titer, vaccine series, or declination)
- Varicella
- Drug screen within 30 days of start (9-panel instant accepted)
- Seasonal flu vaccination or documented declination (deadline December 1)
- Color blind exam required for OB RNs (online or in-person acceptable)
- COVID-19 vaccination not required
Competency Requirements
- Medication test/pharmacology competency exam as applicable
- Competency exams required
- Core HIPAA, OSHA, and Joint Commission safety training annually (attestation or testing acceptable)
