Job Opportunity: Radiology / Cardiology Technologist (Travel/Contract)

Location: Atmore, Alabama
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
• Required Experience: Minimum 1 year XRAY and CT experience
• Certification: ARRT (CT) required
• Shift: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday Nights (5:30 PM - 7:00 AM)
• Training: Will train on day shifts for the first 2 weeks
• Certifications Required: BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support)
• First-time travelers are welcome

Required Credentials & Documentation

Certifications

• ARRT (CT) certification
• BCLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) as required (not required for technicians)
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) as required (not required for technicians)
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure) as required
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) as required (not required at this facility for this role)
• Tech Certification Verification (for Medical Lab Technicians, if applicable)
• State License Verification (Primary Source Verification)
• NURSYS Verification (for RNs)

Background Checks & Verifications

• 7-year criminal background check within 1 year of start, updated annually
• EPLS/GSA/SAM check within 30 days of start and updated for contract renewals
• HHS/OIG check within 30 days of start and updated for contract renewals
• Education Verification (highest degree earned)
• Transcript/Diploma for highest education level (required for technicians)
• Employment Application/Resume
• References: 3 professional references within 6 years required for travel positions
• Performance and Internal Evaluations if applicable (based on prior work with the organization)

Health & Immunization Requirements

• Physical Exam (physician statement within last 12 months)
• Negative TB test or Chest X-Ray within 1 year of start
• Immunizations or proof of immunity for:

  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B
  • Varicella
• Drug Testing: 9-panel drug screen within 1 year of start
• COVID-19 Vaccine or Medical/Religious Exemption (documentation required)
• Flu Vaccine or Declination during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31)
• Fit Mask Compliance: Facial hair policy to ensure proper N95 respirator fit

Facility-Specific Requirements

• Dress Code:

  • Emergency Department: black on black or royal blue on royal blue scrubs
  • Med Surg: preferably white scrub top or white jacket
• Hand Hygiene Policy:

  • Fingernails must be clean, natural, and not exceed 1/4 inch beyond fingertip
  • No nail polish or artificial nails allowed for direct patient care personnel
• Access and User Agreement forms must be completed promptly (time-sensitive)

Additional Notes

• Government-issued photo ID required and must be carried during hours of service
• Proof of I9 or attestation required
• Residency Declaration Form required if working on a compact license
• Medication/Pharmacology competency exams and other competency exams may be required based on profession
• Core HIPAA training or signed HIPAA form required
