Registered Nurse (RN) - Travel Position

Location: Albany, New York
Setting: Post-surgical care for patients following colorectal and urologic surgery

Job Description

• Care for post-operative patients with:

  • Total Parenteral Nutrition (TPN)
  • Nasogastric (NG) tubes
  • Central lines
• Collaborate closely with Wound Ostomy and Continence Nurses for ostomy and wound care needs
• No block schedule or 48-hour shift requests
• Epic electronic medical record (EMR) experience is required
• Navy blue scrubs are required

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience at a 600+ bed academic hospital with passing competency testing
• OR 2 years of experience with no testing required
• Competency test must be completed within 24 hours of submission

Contract Length

• 13 weeks

Additional Notes

• Position involves working in a large academic medical center environment
• Candidates must be local to the area (with some county restrictions effective 1/11/2024)
• Floating to other units may be required
• Work schedule details (days, hours, shifts) to be provided during the interview process
• Dress code: Navy blue scrubs
