Job Details

• Position involves Interventional Radiology (IR) with coiling and embolic experience required.
• Schedule: Four 10-hour shifts per week with rotating days off.
• On-call duties are required.

Required Certifications & Competencies

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support): AHA or ARC accepted at start; must renew with AHA only. Required for IR & Cath Lab.
• BLS (Basic Life Support): AHA or ARC accepted at start; must renew with AHA only.
• NIH Stroke Certification: Required for IR and related units; valid for two years; may be obtained within 30 days of hire onsite.
• Pass/Fail Testing:

  • Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam (80% passing score, two attempts allowed).
  • Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam (two attempts allowed). Required for Cath Lab Techs and IR units.
• State License Verification: Verification of licensure required.
• Tech Certification Verification: For Allied/Non-RN candidates, review license reports and job descriptions for expectations.

Background & Compliance Requirements

• Background Checks:

  • 7-year criminal background check including county, sex offender, and state police investigations.
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start.
• Drug Testing: 10-panel drug screen required within 30 days of start (no rapid screens).
• Professional References: Two professional references within the last 3 years required.

Health & Immunization Requirements

• Physical Exam: Required within 12 months of start.
• Fit Mask Test: Completed onsite during orientation; updated annually.
• Immunizations:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap required for all travelers.
  • Negative TB test (TSpot or QGold) within 12 months; annual updates required.
  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR): Positive titers or documentation of 2 vaccines; boosters required if titers low/equivocal.
  • Varicella: Positive titers or documentation of 2 vaccines; boosters required if titers low/equivocal.
  • Hepatitis B: Proof of vaccine series and positive titer or signed facility-specific declination form required.
• Flu Vaccination: Required during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31) or approved medical/religious exemption.

Documentation & Facility Requirements

• Valid government-issued photo ID or passport (name must match all documentation).
• I9 or attestation required.
• E-Verify or attestation required.
• Photo for badge (passport style, head and shoulders, clear background).
• Signed facility job description prior to start.
• Completion of facility-specific forms including Hepatitis B declination, flu exemption forms if applicable, and NESF form prior to start.
