Description

Travel RN - Emergency Department

Location: Portland, Maine
Contract Length: 26 weeks


Position Details

  • Specialty: Emergency Nursing
  • Role: Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Shift: Nights
  • Weekly Hours: 48 hours guaranteed (some weeks 36 hours)
  • Weekend Hours: Every other weekend
  • Call Requirements: None
  • Experience Required: Minimum 1 year
  • Float Requirements: Must be able to float to all areas within the Emergency Department

Unit Information

  • Department: Emergency Department
  • Number of Beds: 60+
  • Patient Ratios: 1:4 or 1:6
  • Patient Population: Acute adult and pediatric patients with a variety of diagnoses
  • Equipment: Phillips monitors, VS monitors, EKG machine
  • Electronic Medical Record (EMR): EPIC

Required Certifications & Education

  • Maine State Nursing License (ability to practice in Maine)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • CPI or similar workplace violence training
  • Education modules consistent with Emergency Department skillset

Skills & Experience

  • Must Have: Experience in inpatient Med-Surg and/or Emergency Department technician role
  • Preferred: Emergency nursing experience
  • Personality Fit: Good communicator, ambitious, and team-oriented
