Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (Urology RN)

Position Details

• Specialty: Urology Registered Nurse
• Shift: 5 days per week, 8-hour shifts (8:00 AM - 4:30 PM)
• Weekend Requirement: No
• On-call Requirement: No
• Floating: Yes, may need to float within scope to like units or sister facilities based on needs

Experience & Licensure Requirements

• Years of Experience Required: 1 year (Urology experience preferred)
• Prior Travel Experience: Not accepted for first-timers (implies prior travel experience required)
• Licenses: South Carolina RN license or Multi-State/Compact RN license
• Certifications: BLS required; ACLS and PALS as applicable
• Other Experience: Experience with Epic electronic health record system required
• Preferred Experience: Previous charge nurse experience

Facility & Work Environment

• Facility Type: Outpatient Clinic
• Charting System: Epic
• Dress Code: Solid Royal Blue or White top with Royal Blue bottoms for RNs
• Radius Rule: 60 miles; locals accepted on a case-by-case basis

Required Documentation & Compliance

• Government Issued Photo ID (Driver’s License/State ID)
• Background Check within 1 year covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years
• Certifications: BLS (required), ACLS and PALS (as applicable)
• State License Verification and NURSYS verification
• Medication/Pharmacology Competency Exam
• Photo for Badge (specific photo requirements apply)
• Orientation modules to be completed within 5 days of start
• Physical Exam within 90 days prior to start, cleared to work without restrictions
• Fit Mask Test within 90 days prior to start (specific mask types required)
• Immunizations and Health Screenings:

  • Tdap within 10 years or declination form
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 90 days
  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella (2 MMR vaccines or positive titer; declination accepted for Mumps and Rubella only)
  • Hepatitis B series, titer, or declination
  • Varicella (2 vaccines, history of chickenpox, or declination)
• Drug Screening: 10-panel drug screen within 90 days prior to start
• Seasonal Flu Vaccination or Medical/Religious Exemption (no declinations accepted) with documentation deadline
• COVID-19 vaccination highly preferred; declination form required if not vaccinated
• Respiratory Safety Clearance and annual fit testing required (RespSafety clearance only as last resort)
• Radiation Badge if applicable (not typical for this outpatient setting)

Additional Notes

• Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
• All required Return to Office (RTO) documentation must be submitted at time of application
• Orientation and compliance modules are mandatory and tracked by the facility

This position is ideal for experienced Urology RNs with prior travel contract experience who are licensed in South Carolina or hold a multi-state compact license, and who are comfortable working in an outpatient clinic setting with Epic charting.
