Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (MedSurg/Tele)
Location: Attleboro, Massachusetts
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Position Details
- Specialty: MedSurg/Telemetry Registered Nurse
- Shift: 3x12 hour night shifts
- Unit Size: 40-bed unit
- Staffed Beds in Facility: 127
- Shift Ratios: Unknown
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Floating: Yes, within scope as needed by unit
- Block Scheduling: Not accommodated
- Locals Accepted: Yes
- Pending License: Not accepted; must have valid MA state license at time of submission
- Guaranteed Hours:
- 36 hours for 3 shifts of 12 hours
- 48 hours for 4 shifts of 12 hours
- 40 hours for shifts less than 12 hours
Experience Requirements
- Years of Experience Required: Minimum 1 year (2 years preferred)
- First-Time Travelers: Considered only if they have 2-3 years of experience and experience with Epic or Cerner electronic health records
- Prior Travel Experience: Not explicitly required

- ACLS (American Heart Association only)
- BLS (American Heart Association only)

Compliance & Documentation Requirements
- Background Checks:
- Standard 7-year background check including SS trace, county searches, nationwide, sex offender registry
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required
- Massachusetts Nurse Aide Registry Search required for all travelers in MA
- Statewide iCORI Release: Required for Massachusetts
- Photo for Badge: Passport-style headshot with plain background, to be uploaded 2 weeks prior to start
- Compliance Checklist, Latex Allergy Questionnaire, Personal Information Forms: Must be completed prior to start
- References: 2 professional references within 3 years for travel/per diem acute care
Health & Immunization Requirements
- Physical Exam: Within 1 year prior to start
- N95 Fit Test: Required within last 6 months (specific approved masks listed)
- Immunizations & Titers:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (with medical declination allowed)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray (2-step PPD or equivalent)
- Annual TB questionnaire for past positives or pending TB tests
- Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella: Immune titer or 2 vaccines with boosters if needed; no declinations accepted
- Hepatitis B: Immune titer with numerical value or signed declination; boosters required if titer negative
- Varicella: Immune titer or 2 vaccines; no declinations accepted
- Hepatitis A: Required for food service workers only
- Drug Testing: Within 30 days prior to start; 9-panel minimum; marijuana testing not required
- Flu Vaccine: Required during flu season (September - April); medical exemptions allowed but must be approved onsite; no declinations accepted
- COVID-19 Vaccine: Required; exemptions only accepted for medical or religious reasons with signed documentation
Additional Notes
- No on-call requirement
- Finalized Return to Office (RTO) restrictions must be included with submission; no changes after signing
- Facility does not allow background checks or clearances to be pending at start
- Facility requires annual TB testing only for ICU and ER units (not applicable here)
This position is suitable for RNs with MedSurg/Telemetry experience looking for a travel contract in Massachusetts with night shifts and weekend work. First-time travelers may be considered with additional experience and EHR proficiency.
