Job Details

  • Unit: Progressive Care Unit (PCU), unit assignment based on facility need after clinical evaluation
  • Shift: 3x12 hour nights (6:45 PM - 7:15 AM)
  • Optional: 4x12 hour shifts available by request
  • Patient Ratio: Currently 1:5 (goal is 1:4)
  • Floating: All travelers expected to float as needed within their acuity level
  • Start Date: Flexible

Required Experience & Skills

  • Specialty: Registered Nurse with experience in PCU

  • Immunizations or titers required: Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella
  • TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year, updated annually
  • Flu vaccination or declination form required during flu season

Additional Requirements

  • Must provide I-9 or attestation
  • Valid Driver’s License or State ID with address within 100 miles of facility required within 48 hours of signing
  • Completion of new hire paperwork and compliance checklists prior to start
  • Photo for badge required (professional, plain background)
  • Completion of orientation materials prior to start (orientation manual not required for inpatient RNs)
  • Two clinical references required (hospital evaluations accepted)
  • Skills checklist updated annually
  • Employment application/resume required

Notes

  • Virginia State Police Search will be completed onsite on the first day of orientation for applicable candidates
  • Floating and flexibility in unit assignment expected
  • Traveler may request contract length between 14 and 26 weeks if longer than standard 13 weeks is desired
