Description

Job Opportunity: Radiology / Cardiology Tech (Travel/Contract)

Location: Paynesville, Minnesota
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Details

  • Shift: 5:30 PM – 6:00 AM
  • Call: One weekend of call every 6th to 7th weekend, with days off the week before and after call
  • Duties: Must be able to perform both CT Tech and X-Ray Tech duties
  • Primary Residence: Must be at least 25 miles away from the facility
  • First Time Travelers: Accepted

Required Certifications

  • ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)
  • ARRT-R (Radiography)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • CT Certification

Preferred Experience

  • EPIC system experience
  • Mammography experience

Experience Requirements

  • Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
  • Years of Experience: Not explicitly stated; assume minimum 2 years (default for specialty tech roles)
  • Prior Travel Experience: Not required

Background and Compliance Requirements

  • Criminal background check within 1 year of start, including:
    • 7-year search
    • SSN trace
    • County and nationwide checks
    • Sex offender registry
    • Education verification (not required for CNAs)
    • International searches if candidate has lived/worked outside the US
  • GSA/SAM and OIG excluded provider checks required
  • Primary source verification of state license not required for Radiology Tech positions (MRI, CT, X-ray, Sonography)
  • Minnesota DHS NetStudy Fingerprint clearance required before start (no pending fingerprints allowed)
  • Physical exam within 6 months of start
  • Drug testing (9 panel) within 1 year of start (not required annually)

Health and Immunization Requirements

  • Tdap vaccination required (no religious declination accepted)
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray per Minnesota state guidelines (2-step PPD or equivalent within 90 days)
  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) immunity: positive titer or 2 vaccines required (time sensitive)
  • Hepatitis B vaccination or positive titer required (declination not accepted)
  • Varicella immunity: positive titer or 2 vaccines required (time sensitive)
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or documented declination required annually (mask required if declined)

Additional Requirements

  • Two references from recent employers within 2 years required
  • Skills checklist required for all clinical candidates
  • Completion of facility-specific education modules during orientation (approx. 16 hours)
  • Dress code adherence (RRTs wear dove gray/light gray scrubs)
  • Photo for badge with specific guidelines (grey background, no selfies, JPG format)
  • Confidentiality agreement must be signed prior to start
  • Badge must be returned on last day of assignment

Notes

  • ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC certifications are not required for this position
  • CEUs follow state requirements; specific courses available for nursing staff
  • Candidates must complete Minnesota DHS NetStudy Fingerprint Questionnaire immediately after signing contract to avoid delays
  • Candidates must complete MN DHS NetStudy fingerprinting within 2 weeks of registration
  • Candidates may need to travel to a location offering livescan fingerprinting if not available locally

This position is suitable for Radiology/Cardiology technologists who meet the certification and health requirements and are comfortable with night shifts and occasional weekend call. First-time travel healthcare workers are welcome to apply.
