Description

Registered Nurse (RN) - Contract Position

Location: Aspen, Colorado
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Requirements

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in Colorado, or ability to obtain prior to start date
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (may be obtained upon hire)
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
Minimum 2 years of experience as an RN (highest required years of experience)
Must be healthy enough to safely function in a low oxygen environment (8,000 ft elevation)

Position Overview

Provide nursing care as part of an interdisciplinary team in the Patient Care Unit
Competent to provide care as the primary nurse in a rural Critical Access Hospital

Additional Information

Travelers are responsible for securing their own housing
Housing is extremely expensive, especially in winter; surrounding towns to consider include Basalt, Carbondale, and Glenwood Springs
Typical rent for a 1-bedroom apartment in Basalt is around $3,500/month
Not accepting any Return to Office (RTO) requests
No mention of prior travel experience required

This opportunity is ideal for experienced RNs comfortable working in rural, high-elevation settings.
