Job Opportunity: Resident Care Coordinator (Nursing)
Location: Bozeman, Montana
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Position Summary
The Resident Care Coordinator is responsible for coordinating, developing, implementing, and evaluating resident care and clinical practice to ensure a high standard of care. This role serves as a clinical resource and leader for the care team, providing guidance, supervision, and intervention in resident care and care planning in compliance with regulations and policies.
Minimum Qualifications
- Montana Licensure (LPN or Registered Nurse)
- American Heart Association BLS certification
Essential Job Functions
- Coordinate, supervise, and evaluate care of residents in skilled nursing, assisted living, or similar facilities
- Schedule and train care staff ensuring clinical services meet regulations and professional standards
- Communicate with families and medical professionals as needed
- Ensure care plans are properly documented and updated
- Provide compassionate care to support residents’ physical and emotional well-being
- Participate in performance improvement activities (e.g., Fall Risk team, Infection Control Committee)

Schedule Requirements
- Regular and sustained attendance required
- May require working beyond a standard 40-hour workweek, including weekends and after-hours
- On-call work may be required
Physical Requirements
- Frequent lifting up to 50 pounds
- Sitting, standing, walking repeatedly for extended periods
- Occasional climbing of ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps
- Frequent twisting, bending, stooping, kneeling
- Reaching above shoulder level, pushing, pulling repeatedly
- Continuous fine-finger movements and close visual acuity
- Continuous cognitive skills for learning, focus, decision-making
- Exposure to bloodborne pathogens, radiation, chemicals, infectious diseases, and emotionally challenging situations
Additional Information
- Traveler must live at least 90 miles away from the facility to be considered
- Facility may cancel up to three shifts per 13-week contract due to low census or unforeseen circumstances
