Job Opportunity: CT Technologist (Radiology / Cardiology)

Position Details

• Specialty: CT Technologist
• Shift: 4x10 Evening shifts (12:00 PM - 10:30 PM)
• Experience Required: Minimum 2 years in specialty
• First-timers Accepted: Yes
• Weekend Requirement: Every 3rd weekend, plus 1 night of on-call per week
• On-call: Yes, including holidays as needed
• Floating: No floating outside scope of practice
• Locals Accepted: Yes, no radius restrictions
• State License: Active Illinois state license required or must be in application process with ETA
• Guaranteed Hours: Client may call off up to 36 hours per 13-week assignment without pay; on-call shifts count as called-off shifts

CT Skills

• Abdomen and Pelvis: With and without contrast
• Chest: With and without contrast, including vascular chest (e.g., pulmonary embolism, CTA, aorta)
• Head and Neck: Carotid, head with and without contrast, sinuses, soft tissue neck, trauma head
• Spine and Musculoskeletal: Cervical, lumbar, musculoskeletal trauma, thoracic
• Special Procedures: Coronary CTA

Image Display and Post Processing

• 3D rendering (Maximum intensity projection, surface shaded displays, volume rendering)
• Multiplanar reconstruction (MPR)
• Region of interest measurement (ROI)

Professional Knowledge and Skills

• Isolation precautions
• Preparation and administration of contrast media
• Radiation safety
• Starting peripheral IVs
• Venipuncture

Schedule and Time Off

Required Documentation and Compliance

• Valid US Driver’s License or State ID
• Background checks covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years
• Education verification (degree or transcript)
• Various state-specific criminal and offender registry searches
• Physical exam within 1 year of start, including labs
• Fit mask test (specific mask types required)
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
• Immunizations or proof of immunity for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella
• 9-panel drug screen within 30 days of start
• Flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required annually
• Competency exam required for clinical candidates
• Photo for badge within 1 week of signing contract
• Code of conduct acknowledgment

• Candidates without an Illinois state license must complete fingerprinting in Illinois 3 business days prior to start
