Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)

Location: Saint Louis, Missouri
Contract Length: 12 weeks


Job Details

  • Floating: Yes, within scope to meet facility needs
  • Block Scheduling: Not accommodated
  • Local Candidates: Not accepted (must live at least 75 miles from facility)
  • Pending License: Accepted
  • Guaranteed Hours: Yes
  • Relias EKG Exam: Must pass (Interpretation/Management of Dysrhythmias required)
  • Preferred Experience: Medical-Surgical/Telemetry experience preferred
  • Patient Population: Acute medicine including diabetes, renal issues, COPD, abdominal rule outs, cancer patients not currently receiving chemotherapy
  • Unit Exclusions: Does not care for surgical patients

Certifications Required

  • BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support)
  • Must pass Relias Basic Dysrhythmia or equivalent EKG competency exam
  • Other certifications may be required based on unit (refer to facility/unit specifics)

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

  • Government-issued ID (Driver’s License/State ID)
  • Criminal Background Check (7-year search, statewide and nationwide as applicable)
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks (quarterly updates required)
  • Education Verification (highest nursing education)
  • Professional License Verification (Primary source verification required, including NURSYS for Missouri licenses)
  • Drug Testing (within 1 year, must include specific panels)
  • Physical Exam (within 1 year)
  • Immunizations and Health Screenings:
    • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (every 10 years)
    • Negative TB test or chest X-ray (with specific timing requirements)
    • Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella immunity or vaccination/declination as applicable
    • Flu vaccination or approved exemption (seasonal requirement)
  • Fit Mask Testing (annual, specific mask models required)
  • Facility-specific documents including HIPAA Acknowledgement, Latex Allergy Questionnaire, Confidentiality Form, Regulatory Compliance Education, Hand Hygiene Policy, Fingernail Policy, Dress Code Policy, and Orientation Modules (completed prior to start)
  • Skills Checklist and Competency Exams (unit-specific, including medication and oncology competencies if applicable)
  • References: Two professional references required (supervisors preferred)
