Registered Nurse (RN) - Intensive Care Unit (ICU) / Step-down Unit (SDU)
Location: Pontiac, Michigan
Employment Type: Temporary Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Provide nursing care in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and Step-down Unit (SDU) within the Intermediate Intensive Care Unit.
- Care for critically ill patients ranging from adolescent to geriatric.
- Manage a wide variety of patient diagnoses including medical, surgical, cardiac, and neurosurgical cases.
- Maintain professional nursing standards.
- Supervise CNA/SNA, LPN, or other healthcare workers as assigned.
- Frequent floating to Step-down Unit is expected.
Requirements
- Specialty Experience: Minimum 2+ years of ICU experience (required).
- Prior Travel Experience: Preferred but not required.
- Michigan RN license verification is required and must be active at time of submission.
- Skills checklist completed within one year of application for RN specialties is required.
- References are not required.
- Full-time employees of the facility are not eligible for contract hire within six months of employment.
Certifications Required
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
Work Environment
- ICU beds: 10
- Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:2 in ICU, 1:4 in Step-down Unit
- Dress code: Grey scrubs (any shade)
