Job Opportunity: Radiology / Cardiology Technologist

Location: Matthews, North Carolina
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Overview

  • Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
  • Required Experience: Minimum 2 years in specialty
  • Prior Travel Experience: Not required; 1st time travelers accepted
  • Work Settings: Adult Acute Care, ICU, Emergency Department
  • Shift: 40 hours per week, 8-hour evening shifts (1:00 PM - 9:30 PM)
  • Call Requirement: None
  • Float Requirement: None
  • Weekend Requirement: Possible 8-hour shift on a weekend (Saturday or Sunday) with 2-week notice; compensated with a weekday off
  • Patient Age Group: Neonates through Geriatrics
  • Patient Diagnoses: All types
  • Unit Details: Busy outpatient and emergency department schedule
  • Unit Systems: EPIC
  • Special Equipment: Siemens (must have experience with Siemens equipment)
  • Orientation: 16 hours of unit orientation (10:00 AM - 6:30 PM), with ongoing support from experienced techs
  • Scrubs: Not provided; Royal Blue color recommended

Important Notes

  • Start Date: Subject to change based on class and trainer availability; travelers must be fully available with no other commitments during orientation week (Wednesday-Friday possible start days). Missing any portion of orientation may delay or cancel the start.
  • RTO (Return to Office) Policy: No RTO after booking; call-offs or additional RTO may result in cancellation. Maximum 7 days RTO allowed for auto-offer.
  • Orientation Support: After initial orientation, techs will run machines independently but will always have a tech available for questions.
  • Patient Interaction: Work with a wide range of patient ages and diagnoses in a fast-paced environment.
  • Documentation & Compliance: Various background checks, certifications, and health documents are required prior to start (e.g., TB test, immunizations, drug testing, education verification).
