Job Opportunity: CT Tech (Radiology / Cardiology)

Location: Florence, South Carolina
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Position Details

  • Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
  • Shift:
    • Friday: 12:00 PM – 10:30 PM (4x10s schedule)
    • Saturday/Sunday: 11:00 AM – 9:30 PM
    • Monday: 12:00 PM – 10:30 PM
  • Weekend Requirement: Yes
  • On-call: No
  • Floating: No floating between units or sister facilities required

Experience & Certification Requirements

  • Years of Experience Required: 2 years

  • Certifications Required:
    • BLS (AHA or ARC only)
    • ARRT (CT)
    • SCRQSA (CT)
  • Equipment Experience Required: Siemens CT
  • Equipment Experience Preferred: Phillips
  • Radiation Badge: Required and must be provided by the agency (facility does NOT provide)
  • Prior Travel Experience: Not explicitly required

Required Documentation & Compliance

  • Identification: Copy of Driver’s License and Social Security Card required
  • Background Checks:
    • Annual background check covering last 7 years
    • Includes SSN Trace, state and national criminal checks, sex offender registry, FACIS 3, and international searches
    • EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start and updated for renewals
  • Education Verification: Not required for this facility, but diploma/transcripts preferred as placeholder if needed
  • Licensure:
    • South Carolina license required (primary source verification)
    • Walk-through (temporary) license option available for eligible candidates
    • All licensure hits must be approved by facility
  • NURSYS Verification: Required for applicable licenses (RNs, LPNs/LVNs)
  • Radiation Badge: Required for Radiology travelers; must be obtained prior to starting floor work
  • References: Proof of 2 clinical references required
  • Performance Evaluation: Must be dated within 12 months of start

Health & Safety Requirements

  • Physical Exam: Initial and annual physical exam attesting ability to meet job demands
  • Immunizations & Titers:
    • Tdap within 10 years or declination form
    • Negative TB test (T-spot or Q-Gold within 90 days) or chest x-ray if positive
    • Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella: Positive titer or 2 vaccines; boosters if low titer
    • Hepatitis B: Titer, vaccine series, or declination form
    • Varicella: Positive titer or 2 vaccines; boosters if low titer
  • Drug Testing: 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start (no instant tests)
  • Flu Vaccine: Required during flu season (Aug 1 – Apr 30); medical/religious exemptions accepted but no declinations
  • COVID-19 Vaccination: Not required but highly preferred; vaccination records must be uploaded or declination form completed
  • Respirator Clearance: Annual medical clearance required for patient-facing travelers

Notes

  • Candidates cannot start without a radiation badge; badge processing may take 5-7 days before shipment
  • Travelers must complete all required documentation and orientation modules before starting
  • Facility may send travelers home if orientation modules are incomplete upon arrival
  • During hurricane season, travelers may be assigned to emergency response teams; consider this before accepting assignment
