Registered Nurse (MS/Tele RN) - Travel/Contract

Job Details

• Shift: 3x12 hour night shifts
• Weekend: Every other weekend
• Patient Ratio: 1:5 to 1:7 on MedSurg
• Unit Beds:

  • 26 beds specializing in post PCI, pacemakers, AICDs, post MI, and cardiac pharmacological interventions
  • 36 beds Hematology/Oncology unit with a developing Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) program
• Work Environment: Fast-paced, high acuity unit with opportunities to cross-train in MICU
• Charting System: Must be proficient in EPIC
• Scrub Color: Navy and white combinations allowed
• Facility Type: Tertiary Care Hospital with 528 staffed beds

Requirements

• Licensure: Must have a valid New York RN license in hand (no exceptions)
• Certifications:

  • Chemo Certification required
  • ACLS (AHA Provider/Instructor/RQI) required
  • BLS (AHA Provider/Instructor/RQI) required
• Experience:

  • Specialty: Registered Nurse in MedSurg/Telemetry with oncology and cardiac experience
  • Years of experience: Not explicitly stated, but implied to require solid MedSurg/Telemetry experience (default to higher if conflicting info)
• Travel Experience: First-time travelers accepted (prior travel experience NOT required)

• Government issued photo ID (Driver’s License/State ID)
• 7-year criminal background check (felony checks) within 3 months of start
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 3 months of start, run monthly
• Education verification from primary source (no hard copy degrees)
• Foreign equivalency evaluation if applicable
• Physical exam within 1 year of start, updated annually
• Fit mask test within 1 year, updated annually
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
• Required immunizations or proof of immunity:

  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B
  • Varicella
• Drug screening within 30 days of start
• Seasonal flu vaccination or signed declination during flu season
• Snellen eye exam within 1 year
• COVID vaccination copy preferred but not required
• References (2 within 3 years) required for Aya candidates only
