Job Details

• Shift: 3x12 or 4x12 hour night shifts (6:45 PM - 7:15 AM)
• Work radius: 60 miles
• Specialty: Orthopedic Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse
• Required Experience: Minimum 2 years Medical-Surgical experience
• Teaching hospital experience preferred
• Prior travel experience required (first-time travelers not accepted)
• Orientation: Biweekly on Mondays
• Licensure: Candidates with pending certifications will be considered
• Scrubs: Any color, professional appearance; child-friendly print tops allowed; scrub/lab coat allowed
• Nicotine-free campus

Required Certifications

• BLS (Basic Life Support) – required
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) – preferred

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

• Unexpired government-issued photo ID
• Background checks including SS Trace, County searches (last 7 years), Nationwide, Sex Offender, FACIS Level 3 (updated annually)
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks prior to start
• National certification verification prior to start and upon expiration
• State license verification prior to start and upon expiration
• NURSYS verification prior to start
• Signed Orientation Safety Manual Acknowledgement (updated annually)
• Medication/Pharmacology competency exam as applicable
• Specialty skills checklist required
• Minimum 2 professional references within past 2 years
• Physical exam within last 12 months
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within last year (or chest X-ray within 5 years if positive PPD)
• TB questionnaire annually if applicable
• Immunizations:

  • Rubeola (Measles): 2 vaccines or positive titer (exempt if born before 1957)
  • Mumps: 2 vaccines or positive titer (exempt if born before 1957)
  • Rubella: 2 vaccines or positive titer (exempt if born before 1957)
  • Hepatitis B: Series, positive titer, or declination accepted
  • Varicella: 2 vaccines, positive titer, or history of chickenpox
• Drug testing: Negative 9-panel drug screen within 90 days prior to start
• Flu vaccination required during flu season (medical/religious exemptions accepted with mask requirement)

• Must submit a complete packet including candidate profile, specialty skills checklist, minimum 2 manager/charge references, RN license verification, and all required certifications.
