Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Position

Location: Cape Girardeau, Missouri
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in inpatient acute rehab
• BLS and NIH certifications required
• ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications may be required (AHA preferred)
• Permanent Missouri RN license required (temporary licenses not accepted)
• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required

Certifications & Verifications

• BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA or ARC accepted
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - AHA only
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) - AHA only
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) - as applicable
• State License primary source verification within 30 days of start
• NURSYS verification within 30 days of start
• Tech Cert Verification - National within 30 days of start
• EPIC Pass/Fail Testing (EKG/Medication) administered onsite
• Background checks including 7-year criminal check, EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG, and education verification
• Missouri state-specific EDL search required within 60 days of start

Health & Safety Requirements

• Physical exam within 1 year of start
• Negative TB test (PPD, QGOLD, or TSPOT) within 1 year; if positive, clear chest x-ray within 5 years and TB questionnaire within 1 year
• TB questionnaire required annually regardless of TB result
• Fit mask test within 12 months of start (specific mask models required)
• Immunizations/vaccinations required or proof of immunity:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (required for NICU and Family Birthplace placements)
  • Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella - positive titer or 2 vaccines or booster
  • Hepatitis B - vaccine series, positive titer, or declination
  • Varicella - positive titer or 2 vaccines or booster
  • Seasonal Flu vaccination required during flu season (Sept 1 - Mar 31) or approved exemption
• Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start

Competencies & Testing

• Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam as applicable
• Color Blind Testing (Relias online exam accepted)
• Core competency exams as applicable
• Annual skills checklist required

Additional Requirements

• 2 professional references required
• Employment application required
• Clear, passport-style photo for badge
• Completion of facility-specific e-learning within 3-5 days of receiving access
• Influenza verification or exemption forms required

Notes

• Compact license holders must provide Residency Declaration Form
• All background checks and verifications must be current and completed within specified timeframes prior to or shortly after start date
• EPIC pass/fail testing allows 2 attempts; failure escalated to leadership for resolution

This position follows a 75-mile radius rule for travel.
